5 Yogi Jams to Slow Down Your Day

Tired of racing through you day? Wake up. Eat breakfast. Brush teeth. Go to work. Go to yoga class or run 5 miles at the gym. Race home to cook dinner. Wash dishes. Go to bed.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Take the time to truly bring awareness to how you spend your day and the attention you give each activity. Making that extra effort to slow down and literally smell the roses could change your day, week, or year. Don’t miss those opportunities to enjoy those small moments to yourself or that Lions Breathe you release all tension with at the end of your yoga class.

Here are a few of our Yogi Jams to help you relax & slow down your day:

All I Ever Know by Trevor Hall

Stars by The xx – Best for savasana or a mellow flow sequence that builds with the melody.

The One by Slovo

Duk Koo Kim by Sun Kil Moon

On and On by Mission to the Sea

Someone asked the Dalai Lama what surprises him most. This was his response: “Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present. The result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived. “
