“Integrating the power of Yoga into the lives of Athletes”
California Yoga Sport integrates athletic team training with the benefits of Power Yoga. We are committed to providing top quality training and building team synergy through strength-building exercises and yoga poses.
CYS instructors are educated and trained with the ideologies of Power Yoga and sports therapy. Our instructors pride themselves on being experienced and knowledgeable in varied individual and team sports and utilizing that to plan, teach, and create custom training sessions. Each session strengthens all muscles in the body, while stretching the muscle tissues to prevent injury…all while having a great time!
California Yoga Sport Trainers:
Lacey Calvert: Diagnosed with a heart disease in 2002, Lacey needed to find an outlet for daily stress and disorder. Finding a way to relax while keeping an athletic heart rate brought Power Yoga into Lacey’s life. After training athletes in both Santa Monica and Huntington Beach, Lacey brought California Yoga Sport to Northern California. Certified in Power Yoga and Yoga Sculpt through CorePower Yoga and Yoga Alliance, she began training action sport athletes around the country and was mentored by world class trainers in anatomy and sport rehabilitation. Today, Lacey travels and teaches yoga while hosting workshops in athletic yoga and de-stress techniques, as well as training future yoga teachers in Power Yoga.
Lindsea Swisher: An avid fitness enthusiast, as well as a long time competitive soccer player, and yoga instructor. She was recruited to play Division I soccer at the University of San Francisco where she excelled until tearing her MCL and retired due to excessive knee pain. To rehabilitate her knee and decrease overall body pain, Lindsea started practicing yoga as part of her daily routine. Today Lindsea is certefied in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga through It’s Yoga and has worked with some of most influential yoga instructors and athletes from all over the world. Her mission is to bring the health benefits of yoga to anyone looking to prevent injuries, recover from injuries more quickly, and to increase overall mental awareness.
